Serving Veterans at the Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis
Todd Braun, Vice President, and Jarrod Deehr, Territory Manager, had the privilege of serving hot dogs and ice cream treats to residents at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis last week.
The home is located on a wooded campus overlooking the Mississippi River near Minnehaha Falls. The campus contains 291 skilled nursing beds and 50 domiciliary beds in private and semiprivate rooms.
Redco received some donations for food and brought in their Stoelting soft serve ice cream machine to the home for an enrichment event. "We just wanted to give back to the Veteran Community", says Todd. "It is heartwarming to serve people who have defended our freedoms."
Jarrod, a veteran himself, said, "I'm really passionate about honoring our veterans and being able to do this event meant a lot to me. It was a great afternoon with the residents and the staff."
Are you interested in helping veterans? For every demo scheduled with a foodservice operator in the month of November, Redco will make a $50 donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
